Twitter, in the present time, is the most popular Social Networking and Microblogging website by Twitter Inc. Presently Twitter-Search searches only the text posted in Twitter.
Now Twitter will soon begin to crawl the links included in tweets and to index the content of those pages. This will make Twitter a much more comprehensive index of what's happening in real time on the Web. This functionality will make Twitter an even more reasonable challenger to Google.
Twitter will also going to implement a “reputation” or “ranking” system soon i.e. when you do a search on a topic, gets its own link in the Twitter sidebar.
